An emergency nurse at Desert Valley Hospital in Victorville has earned a nomination in the Hospital Association of Southern California’s Hospital Hero contest, to recognize his contributions to healthcare and his life accomplishments. John Morris, 66, has not only been a dedicated registered nurse at the hospital in Death Valley, but has also been working diligently towards helping others in Africa.
Morris is one of the top five finalists in the Hospital Hero contest and will be retiring soon. Morris and his wife will move to Africa where they will be committed to a Bible study mission in Liberia. He also currently has an orphanage established in Ghana that houses more than 100 children today.
His passion, commitment, and dedication to helping lives has made him more than a role model nurse in the healthcare industry, but also a remarkable human being that has made a positive impact to those in need.
